# How to change the accounting method

At this time, it is not possible to change the accounting method for a business. However, accounting methods are preset for both the Intro and Advanced simulations and align with the workbook and answer keys so we do not recommend attempting to utilize another accounting method then the one that is aligned with the workbook.
